Manual work and automation
Why does a simple process take so many manual steps?
A simple outcome can still pass through too many tools, approvals, and handoffs. Map the process exactly as it works today and mark every step that only moves information, repeats an entry, or waits for a routine decision. Remove or automate those steps before adding new software.
What to check
- Which steps only move information?
- Which approvals are truly necessary?
- Where is the same information entered or checked again?
