How do I know which numbers in my reports I can trust?

Trace each important metric back to its source and calculation. Check whether the source is complete, whether the definition is consistent, and whether manual edits happen outside the normal process. A number is more trustworthy when someone can explain exactly where it came from and reproduce it.
